The latest timekeeping technology is combined with skills perfected by the Michel Herbelin watch company over generations. Michel Herbelin creates beautiful watches with a passion for true luxury watchmaking. Each Michel Herbelin watch is brought to life in a collaboration between the company’s talented team of designers and Jean-Claude Herbelin. First the watch is sketched in pencil, then refined and turned into colour drawing. Next a CAD diagram and models of the Michel Herbelin watch are produced in wax and balsa wood. After which prototypes are made in steel. The cases of a Michel Herbelin watch have soft edges, often being curved to fit the wrist. Soft and durable leathers are used for the straps. Superb dials are designed with many incorporating materials like genuine mother of pearl; some are set with diamonds. It takes about 12 to 18 months for a new Michel Herbelin watch to be born, Jean-Claude Herbelin ensuring that it fits with the company’s philosophy of creativity combined with watchmaking excellence. Designed and crafted in France, all Michel Herbelin watches have Swiss movements. The brand blends flair of French designers with the precision of Swiss engineers: Swiss Heart, French Soul. The Michel Herbelin collection is split into three important categories: Sport, Classic and Boutique watches. Within each there are distinctive families of watches. The flagship watch collection within the Sport category is NEWPORT. The Classic collection is the epitome of French style and design: KHARGA, distinctively rectangular and elegant; and AMBASSADOR, stylish and understated. The Boutique collection are watches that can be worn as a piece of jewellery: elegant bangle watches, delicate bracelet versions and colourful strap watches.
